Toddlers and Twos
Toddler Two Program
Our Toddler Two program is made up of children approximately 18 to 30 months of age. The number of children in the group range from 8-12 with an adult to child ratio of 1:4. They follow a schedule with regular meals, naptime and diaper changes. The toddlers also have a daily slip with this information written down for parents to take home.
The children in this group are ready for a little more structure in their day with brief stories, art activities and small group times. The Toddler Two classroom uses a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos. Physical exercise and fresh air are also important for your child's well being. Therefore, children have outdoor time everyday when weather permits.
Yellow Group
Yellow Group children are approximately 2 to 3 years of age. The number of children in this group range from 15 to 18 with an adult to child ratio of 1:6. Their daily schedule allows for a variety of fun and interactive learning experiences using curriculum based on the Creative Curriculum philosophy.
*The following interest areas are available anytime: Puzzles/Literacy/Table toys, Dramatic Play/Housekeeping, and Discovery/Cars.
*Creative art is an option in the morning and the sensory table is an option in the afternoon.
*We utilize our spacious outdoor play area everyday (weather permitting).
Most children this age are ready to be introduced to toilet training. Yellow Group children are given an opportunity to use the restroom every time they need a diaper change. A chart is used for tracking children's toilet training progress.
