Infant Care ages 0-18 months
Infant Center
Our Infant Center is located next door to our main building. It houses up to 12 children approximately 0-1 year of age. This center is staffed at a 1:3 adult/child ratio. Children in this area have Primary Caregivers, one person that is responsible for your child’s primary physical and emotional needs. The daily schedule is flexible enough to allow the caregiver the opportunity to respond to the varied and constantly changing activity levels, moods and needs of the child. In the Infant Center we record each child’s daily routine on an individual information sheet for parents to take home at the end of the day.
Parents provide the following:
2 changes of clothes
Disposable diapers
Diaper wipes
Diaper cream (if needed)
2 plastic bottles
Formula (concentrate or powder) and/or *breast milk
Baby food (if needed)
Pacifiers (if needed)
*Breast milk should be stored and brought to the center in hard-plastic bottles.
Toddler One Program
Our Toddler One program is made up of children approximately 12-18 months of age. The number of children in this group ranges from 8-12 with an adult to child ratio of 1:4. The caregivers share the responsibilities in this group and the children enjoy getting to know each of them. At this age, the children follow a daily schedule for meals, naptime, and diapering. Parents are provided a daily information slip to take home each day.
Children in this group have ample room to play individually or with a small group. They can learn or perfect their walk, play on soft climbers, explore a variety of toys, or sit and look at books on their own child-sized furniture. The Toddler One children have a play deck for their use outdoors.
Parents provide the following:
Diapers
Baby wipes
Change of clothes
Formula (if still needed)
Baby food (if transitioning to table food)
Special sleeping blanket (if desired)
